What is the difference between Semaglutide and Lipotropics?
Semaglutide is the generic compounded version of Ozempic or Wegovy, an FDA approved medication for weight loss. Semaglutide is made up of amino acids that decrease blood sugar levels and regulate insulin. The injectable drug also mimics a hormone called glucagon-like peptide-1 that we naturally produce in our intestines. When you inject it, it suppresses your appetite and makes you feel fuller faster. As a result, Semaglutide increases your metabolism and reduces cravings. Lipotropics contain methionine, inositol, and choline, along with essential vitamins such as B12 to help break down fat. Compounded lipotropics assist in the elimination of stored fat deposits in the liver and body. Lipotropics are typically injected in office by a healthcare provider into a muscle.
How much weight can I lose?
According to the results of clinical trials, it is possible to lose up to 20 lbs. with Semaglutide. On average, people can lose approximately 4% of weight in 12 weeks by taking a 1-mg dose of Semaglutide, and weight loss of approximately 5% for people taking a 2.4-mg dose. Over a period of 26-30 weeks, average weight loss is 15-20 pounds. As always, individual results will vary per person. Lipotropics, in combination with diet and exercise, individuals can lose about one pound per week and is a great option for individuals trying to maintain weight loss.
What are the side effects of weight loss medications?
Common side effects related to Semaglutide include, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or constipation. Typically side effects resolve after a few weeks on the medication and tend to be more severe with dose increases. Lipotropic side effects include injection site reaction, allergic reaction, racing heart, or discolored urine.
What should my diet be on Semaglutide?
Consuming nutrient-rich foods is key to preventing side effects. It is recommended that you eat a lean protein at every meal, avoid simple carbohydrates and prioritize complex carbs such as brown rice. Eating a diet rich in fruits and vegetables will help you consume fewer calories and improve weight loss. You should also consume a diet high in fiber and drink plenty of water. While taking Semaglutide it is best to avoid sugary foods, highly processed foods, fried foods, soda and carbonated drinks, as well as, limit alcohol intake. These foods and beverages can worsen side effects
What is the difference between dermal filler and botulinum toxin?
Botulinum toxin or Botox, temporarily freezes muscles to prevent wrinkles or creases from worsening or forming. Common areas treated with Botox are forehead, around the eyes, nose, lip, masseters, and neck/platysma. Fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, a natural water-binding substance and used to smooth and fill deep folds, restore volume loss, plump, or balance facial features. Common areas where filler is used are smile lines, frown lines, chin, jaw, lips, under eyes, and cheeks.
How long does filler or botulinum toxin (Botox) last?
Botulinum toxin lasts for three months. After treatment with Botox there will be a peak at 2-4 weeks, then product slowly wears off and movement starts to come back. Dermal filler lasts 6-18 months. It is recommended to slowly build on filler for desired results (several syringes over several months) then annual maintenance.
Is there downtime with Microneedling?
With SkinPen microneedling there is only a 24 hours downtime where nothing can go on the area treated. Redness and dryness are common the day after and usually return to baseline at 48 hours.
How much can I expect to spend?
Service prices are listed under the service page. Factors that can affect how much botulinum toxin or dermal filler a patient might need are age, gender, severity of wrinkles, amount of fat loss, skin laxity, and metabolism. Each patient is unique and will require different dosing. On average patients need 30-50 units of Botox for forehead and 50-100 units for full face.

Wash your face gently so you arrive with clean skin, if coming after work - makeup is okay. Continue with your normal skincare routine, except for masks, peels, or deep exfoliation. It's fine to moisturize and use sunscreen, but skip any treatments as these may interact negatively with your facial.

Everybody is a candidate for dermaplaning except active acne or severely sensitive skin. Once the esthetician feels like your skin is in a good state, they can recommend dermaplaning.
Dermaplane Aftercare

Body waxing: Hair must be a quarter of an inch to an inch think, or as long as a grain of rice or about 3-4 weeks of growth. Gently exfoliate the area being waxed but avoid using any exfoliating acids or retinols for at least a week.

How do I prepare for lash extensions?
Please come to your appointment with clean lashes (no mascara, lash glue, or oil residue)! If you wear contacts please come with your glasses as irritation could occur. Initial lash full set appointments can take anywhere from 1.5-3 hours so we highly recommend wearing comfortable clothing, limit caffeine intake, eat before arriving and using the restroom.
How do I know what lash extension style to choose?
Classic Lashes: faux mink lash extensions of various length, curl, and thickness are carefully placed onto each individual natural lash create a darker, longer, and thicker appearance to your natural lashes. Classic lashes are perfect for those who are new to lash extensions and want a natural lash look. 2 hour appointment.
Angel Lashes: A textured, elevated classic set with a soft, weightless feel. To create a darker, longer, thicker look, extensions of various length and curl are carefully placed on each natural lash. 2 hour and 30 minute appointment.
Hybrid Lashes: This lash style is a combination of classic and volume lash extensions. Hybrid lashes are fuller than a classic set with more texture and fullness, while still giving a realistic and natural look. 2 hour 30 minute appointment.
Volume Lashes: Volume eyelash extensions are 3-6 lightweight extensions that are handmade into small “fans” or “bouquets” and placed onto one natural lash. The result is soft, dense, and dark lashes. Volume lashes are normally the fullest and darkest style, but can be designed to benefit clients who have sparse or gaps in the natural lashes. 3 hour appointment.

If you still are unsure your lash artist will recommend styles during your consultation. Lashes are customizable and can be changed during your fill appointments. Also, feel free to bring in reference photos of lashes but your lash artist may recommend something different to suit your face and eye shape more.
Lash Extension Aftercare
Refrain from wetting your lashes for 24 hours to allow the adhesive to fully cure to your natural lashes. After 24 hours, cleanse your lashes 1-2 times daily depending on your skins natural oils and heavy makeup application. Use oil-free skincare and makeup around the eye area and brush through lashes daily. Return every 2-3 weeks for lash fills to keep them looking perfect. Remember to not pick or pull on your lashes as this will cause premature removal and damage to your natural lashes.
Spray Tan Preparation & Aftercare
Preparation: We recommend shaving or waxing at least 24 hours in advance to your spray tan along with getting any mani/pedis before hand. Shower and gently exfoliate before your spray session and avoid applying any lotions, perfumes or deodorant as this can cause a barrier for the spray solution to not develop. Come dressed in dark, loose clothing. The cosmetic bronzer may get onto your clothing or sheets but it does not interfere with the developing process and comes out when washed.
Aftercare: Avoid getting wet or sweating for the next 6-8 hours. At the 8-12 hour mark take a warm water rinse with NO soap. Once the water runs clear at your feet, hop out pat dry and liberally apply lotion. Avoid exfoliating, shaving and chlorine for the next 48 hours. On average the spray tan can last from 5-7 but can vary. Staying hydrated and moisturized can help extend the life of your spray tan.
